"Scouting is a uniformed organization." By wearing
your uniform, you show others that you are a member of Cub
Scouting. You also remind yourself to live up to Cub
Scouting's ideals and the promise you have made. The
official uniform also gives you a place to display the
awards and emblems that show your personal achievements and
those of your den and pack. When
you join Pack 1417 and pay your dues, you are provided with the following,
courtesy of the pack:
- Cap
- Neckerchief
- Slide
- "1417" pack number patch
- Handbook
- Class B t-shirt
To round out your uniform, you need
the following:
- Uniform shirt (Tigers, Wolves, &
Bears wear blue, Webelos wear khaki)
- Uniform belt, w/ Cub or Webelos
buckle. Webelos can wear either blue or khaki, but
belt loops only fit on the blue belt.
- Atlanta Area Council patch (It
varies, pick the one you prefer if given a choice.)
- Den number patch (2009 Tigers are
Den 2)
- World Crest patch
- Webelos only: blue shoulder tabs
The following are optional:
- Official uniform pants - blue
for Tigers, Wolves, Bears, green for Webelos. (When
not wearing the official pants, dark blue pants,
shorts, or jeans work well for Cubs, khakis or olive
drab for Webelos.)
- Uniform socks
Uniform shirts usually come
with a tag attached that shows the placement of the
patches, but you may wish to review the uniform
inspection form for more details:

patches will get for activities and events.
Those patches do not go on the official uniform.
