As I await additional details from our Account Manager at Yorktown, I would like to provide all of you with the information that I do have to begin preparation for our trip.  The first piece of information that I would like to share with you is the contact information of Patriots Point, in case you have additional questions or would like to view photos.

I do not have our itinerary for the weekend yet.  I will not have this information until March 25.  However, I do want to advise that the following meals are included:

Saturday breakfast, box lunch, and dinner

Sunday breakfast

I do not know what the menus are.  If you would like to bring food, please make sure NO food or drinks are brought onboard the ship; they are not allowed.  All snacks MUST remain in your car.  Bring cash for the snack machines on the boat in case you do need a snack in between meals.

 

Also, I figured that you guys would like to know this.  We will have free time during the day on Saturday.  If you are interested, included in the $80.00 per person paid is Admission to the Palmetto Islands County Park.  Your admission fee entitles you to use the following at no additional charge:

1. Big Toy Playground

2. Picnic Sites with grills

3. Fishing and Crabbing docks

4. Open meadow for free play / games

5. Nature trails

6. Observation tower with play area

7. Nature island

Most importantly, since we all must arrive as a group in order to board the USS Yorktown, I am typing up the directions for the trip and will send them out shortly.  We will ALL be traveling together using the SAME route.  EVERYONE will be leaving the SAME location at the same time.  Details to come.  Also, I am typing up a list of suggested items to bring on the trip.  I will send this information shortly as well.  Please plan to leave GA on Friday, March 26 no later than 12:30PM.
